Our friendly staff will give a tour of the visitor information centre.
Students may receive information for school projects; on the City of Yorkton and the other provinces in Canada.

Tour will show all the phases of a casual family dining restaurant food preparation and dining experience.
Group size: maximum 30 children
Group age: school age children
Tour Days: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Tour activities include making and eating their very own pizza

This tour is an informative and sensitive tour of a funeral home and crematorium. The tour can include information and history of funeral practices and traditions.
Group size: no restriction
Group age: no restriction although not much value under age 12
Tour length: dependent on group age and interest

Tours are arranged for groups with a specific purpose or project. Our children are being educated at an earlier age on government practices and policies, municipal, government services and structure are some of the topics for discussion and orientation.

Basically to watch our machines sew. We run 13 heads -2 - 6 head machines and a single head. We require preparation time to have a large design sewing. Visitors will see how caps & garments etc. are hooped, lettering set up and much more.

Pool is regulation competition size and depth, therefore not suitable for non-swimmers under 6 years old,
unless individually supervised. One lifeguard per 30 people required. Open all year round.
Group rates rent/ pool $30.00 per hour plus GST
$ 8.00 per hour for a lifeguard.

14. Godfrey Dean Art Gallery
Godfrey Dean Cultural Centre - second floor

Tours consist of a Curatorial talk about the artwork that is on exhibit and could also include a session of interactive hands-on activities that would further the Gallery experience and would be aimed to help the participants to better understand the artwork. Talks and activities are designed to suit the age group.
Exhibits completely change every 6 to 8 weeks in both galleries.

There is no fee required for the tour or the workshop but a donation to help offset the cost of materials is gratefully accepted! (Brochure attached)

25. Ravine Ecological Preserve
455 Broadway Street West
The starting point for this self-guided nature trail of 2.5 kilometer is at the Gallagher Centre. Enjoy a leisurely stroll on the path or observe the area from the boardwalk crossing the marsh, station markers. An interpretive brochure guides walkers across the marsh and through the flora and fauna. Partial walks may be taken.
Guided tours are available upon request.

31. Water Works: Waste Water Treatment and #4 Water Treatment
Highway #9 North/Highway #10 East
Watch and learn about the activated sludge treatment with incoming sewage, preliminary and secondary treatment. #4 Water Treatment plant teaches conventional oxidization water treatment.
Group size: up to a maximum of 20 people per group/the younger the age, the smaller the group
Age: preferably grade 5 and up
Tour length: 1 hour

32. Western Development Museum - Story Of People
Highway 16 West
School Tours - School groups will be guided through room settings that recreate the times and styles of some of the many immigrants who settled in Western Canada. Demonstrations of butter making, ice cream making or steam engine rides are available upon request at additional cost. All tours must be booked through the Western Development Museum.
Group size: no larger than 50 people
Group age: kindergarten to grade 6
Tour length: 1 to 2 hours depending on program choice
Tour days: Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Price: $1.25 per student (1 free chaperone per every 10 charged persons)
